Can you tie your shoe lace in just a second ?

What is your first experience of your  tying your shoe-lace.  Was it an "a-ha" moment?  Was it a "Here-I-Am-a-big-boy-now"  moment, or was it something like a few of mine listed below here?

1. Tied my finger to the shoe
2. Tied it so tight that someone had to cut the lace to get my leg out of the shoe
3. Tied them so loose that I ended up tripping and falling flat on my face

A few of us would have had our nursery teachers trying to teach us using a simple mnemonic like this one here..

Build a tee pee
Come inside
Close it tight so we can hide
Over the mountain
And around we go
Here's my arrow
And here's my bow!
